About Lane County, KS
Lane County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kansas . As of the 2010 census , the county population was 1,750. The county seat is Dighton , the only city in the county. Lane County was named after James H. Lane who was a leader of the Jayhawker abolitionist movement and served as one of the first U.S. Senators from Kansas.
